Here’s what's true? Money is just a tool...
Last year I read the book Decolonizing Wealth by Edgar Villanueva. He shares his indigenious wisdom with how money is medicine, and how it's intended to heal. His book was revolutionary for me. It provided language around how I saw money, but didn't quite know how to articulate it. And now I see money just as a tool that can promote healing.
This has been helpful for me as I think through my own relationship with money. I want to always remember that money doesn't control me, but rather I'm a steward of it, given to me in partnership with God. I believe God has given me the wisdom and strategy for how to earn, how to steward it, and how to remain humble with it as I grow in my wealth.
So friend, may you remember that money is just that.... a tool that can be used to promote healing. It has the power for dreams to become a reality, to heal communities, and to meet the direct needs of our neighbors.
Journal prompts/reflections:
How am I using money as a tool for healing? In what ways can I make an impact with my dollars? How am I thinking of money, does it control me? Or am I a steward of it?
As always share your thoughts with me by hitting reply!
